Engineering the
impossible
I'm Fermin F. Garcia. I build reliable software and design live illusions — two disciplines, one obsession with experiences that feel like magic.
Two crafts, one discipline
Engineering and magic look like opposites. One is built on logic, precision, and clarity; the other on mystery, misdirection, and the impossible.
In practice, they're the same craft.
I've chased that idea since I performed my first trick for a 3rd-grade class in Corpus Christi — later apprenticing under a professional magician named Valdino, then carrying the same discipline through the U.S. Air Force.
Whether I'm architecting a system or escaping a straitjacket, the work is identical: sweat the details no one sees so the result feels effortless.
